Janeah Stewart, a two-time weight throw national champion, secured sixth place with a first-round mark of 79-4.75 (24.20m) at the USATF Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Stewart entered the competition tied for the best performance in event history at 84 feet (25.60m), only to have DeAnna Price produce a new world all-time best of 85-4.25 (26.02m). Six of the top 11 all-time weight throw competitors were part of the field.
